Steps to Becoming an Owner of one of our AKC Standard or Miniature Poodles

Step One

Identify The Litter or Puppy That You Are Interested In

Check out our available puppies and upcoming litters, which are regularly updated for you to browse at your own pace.

Step Two

Fill Out An Application

Often, our litters are pre-sold before the birth of the puppies due to high demand and limited availability. We recommend applying early to secure a spot for future litters. If you are interested in a puppy from a current litter, we advise taking swift action as they tend to find new homes quickly. To ensure a smooth process, please complete the application thoroughly and honestly.

Step Three

Check Your E-mail

All applicants, without exception, will be promptly contacted via e-mail, irrespective of their acceptance status. The e-mail correspondence will be initiated from the email address Valerie@valaurahfarms.com. Should you fail to locate a response to your application, we kindly advise checking your spam folder for any missed communication. If you still have not yet found a response (and it has been more than 48 hours), please give us a call/text.

Step Four

Acceptance Letter

If your request is accepted, you'll get our approval letter. Each letter varies, so please read it thoroughly.

Step Five

Phone Interview

If desired, we will schedule a phone interview at a time that suits you best. Typically, these interviews are arranged between 10 am and 5 pm, but we are more than happy to make special accommodations outside of these hours to ensure your convenience. During the interview, you will be requested to initiate the call, providing you with the flexibility to engage in the conversation from a comfortable setting. And because I often get busy and loose track of time.

Step Six

Reservation Fee

Following the Phone Interview and/or Acceptance Letter, you will be invited to Open a PetPortal Account and receive an e-document to sign our health guarantee/contract. The e-mail will look like the below clip. Through this portal, you will be able to sign our Two-Year Genetic Health & Puppy Warranty agreement and view details about your puppy. Our Reservation Fee is $500+tax for any puppy not yet born and for puppies currently on the ground under 8 Weeks of Age. For puppies over 8 weeks of age, no reservation fee is required; instead, we will just take full payment at the time of pick-up/delivery. After completing these steps, you are one step closer to welcoming your new furry family member into your home.

Reservation Fees are typically placed through Zelle or via Chase Payment Link, but if needed, special arrangements can be accommodated upon request. Please feel free to reach out to us to discuss alternative payment options.

Step Seven

Sign-Up For Our Newsletter and Follow Along With Your Litter

If you have not done so already, be sure to sign-up for our Newsletter. This will keep you up-to-date with all of our latest news, and most importantly, there WILL BE IMPORTANT E-MAIL COMMUNICATION about your specific puppy and/or litter. This will be how the primary communication is sent, including updated pictures, development information, health testing documents, vet appointment review, and, of course, PUPPY PICKS!
