What is the difference between Limited and Full Registration?

All puppies are sold with pre-paid AKC Registration. The difference between the two “types” of registration refers to the ability to breed, show in conformation, and register off-spring.

  • Puppies sold with Limited Registration can compete in all sports, except conformation. NO offspring can be registered and the contract specifies an alter-by age.

  • Puppies sold with Full Registration can compete in conformation. Offspring can be registered, however, there are stipulations in the contract regarding breeding age and practices.

How is payment handled & when is payment due?

Our non-refundable reservation fees and and final payment can be made via Zelle or via a Chase payment link sent directly to you. For international families, we can accept payment via Check. Final Payments can also be made in cash at pick-up for local families/families meeting in person for pick-up.

We can also accept payment via Paypal, but this is not my preferred method of payment. Paypal payments will be assessed a 3% service charge.

Non-refundable Reservation Fees are due when contracts are signed and are REQUIRED to hold your pick position. 

Final balance due MUST be received before departing, whether via flight nanny or self-pick-up.

Where are you located?

We are located in the northeastern corner of Kentucky. Very conveniently located near several major airports, including

  • Louisville, KY (LOU)

  • Lexington, KY (LEX)

  • Huntington, WV (HTS)

  • Cincinnati, OH (CVG)

We are also generally able to meet-up within a reasonable driving distance of 2-3 hours to accommodate families traveling from greater distances.

What are your hours of operation?

We are located in the Eastern Time Zone. We are generally available most days between 5 am and 8 pm, however, for long conversations we may request to set an appointment to better be able to give you our fullest attention.

What is your preferred method of communication?

We are very busy taking care of puppies and adult dogs (we we love wholeheartedly!) and can sometimes be difficult to get on the phone.

For this reason, I prefer e-mail communication for so I can remember to come back to the conversation and have reference points. I am also a great fan of texting and facebook messenger.

I do prefer and require phone conversations before any payment is made.

What is your Health Guarantee?

We offer a 2-year genetic guarantee for testable genetic diseases that can currently be tested (except IVDD). The exact details of what is covered will be found in the health guarantee.

We also offer and require that all puppies leave with their complementary health insurance activated. This insurance is good for 30 days and is completely free.

How many dogs do you have?

Enough to make me happy. They all live in the house and sleep in our beds/couches. The ones that do not live with me, live with their Guardian Family, but come for visits regularly.

Do you offer stud service?

Why can’t I reserve a specific puppy?

We believe it is best to match a family’s lifestyle and expectations to each puppy’s personality. We will do our best to accommodate your color choice, but if no suitable puppies are available, you will be given the opportunity to roll-over to the next litter’s waitlist. We want your puppy to be your lifelong companion and making sure its a good fit is vital!

You don’t want the hunting dog if you live a laid back lifestyle. Same as the hunter doesn’t want the couch surfer dog.

When can we visit puppies?

For health and safety reasons, we DO NOT allow puppy visitation, however, we completely understand the desire to see and get to know your future companion’s personality. We are more than willing to send videos, photos, and video chats with you so you can see your puppy grow and develop. Additionally for safety concerns, we do not disclose our exact location, except to committed buyers who have placed a non-refundable reservation fee.
